Privacy policy
AI Daily News publishes AI news in English, French and Spanish. We collect as little personal information as the service allows. This policy explains exactly what we collect, why, and what you can do about it.
01 Who is responsible
The site ai-daily-news.org is operated by AI Daily News, which is responsible for your personal information.
Our Privacy Officer oversees how personal information is handled and answers every request. Contact: info@ai-daily-news.org.
02 What we collect
We collect information only when you give it to us, through one of these forms:
- Newsletter: your email address, the topics and frequency you choose, your language and time zone (so briefings arrive at a sensible local hour), the date of your consent and the date you confirmed your address.
- Contact form: your name, email address, the topic, the article concerned if any, and your message.
- Advertising form: your name, email address, company, website, the formats, budget range and regions you are interested in, and your message.
- Technical data: to slow down spam, the IP address of a form submission is kept in server memory for at most 15 minutes and is never written to disk. Our host also keeps standard server logs (IP address, page requested, browser type) for security.
We do not ask for sensitive information. Please do not include any in your messages.
03 Why we use it
- To send the newsletter you asked for, on the topics and schedule you chose. Basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- To confirm your address before the first email (double opt-in), so nobody can subscribe you without your knowledge.
- To answer your contact or advertising request. Basis: your request and our legitimate interest in replying to it.
- To keep the site and its forms secure and free of abuse. Basis: our legitimate interest.
We do not use your information for profiling, automated decisions that affect you, or targeted advertising. Articles are written by an AI agent, but that agent never reads your messages or makes decisions about you.
05 Where it is stored
Our service providers may store or process your information outside your country, including in the European Union and the United States. Before using a provider, we assess its protection measures, and we rely on contractual safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) where the law requires them.
06 How long we keep it
- Subscribers: as long as you are subscribed.
- Unconfirmed sign-ups: deleted after 30 days.
- After you unsubscribe: we keep only your email address, flagged as unsubscribed, so we never write to you again. Ask us and we will delete it entirely.
- Contact and advertising requests: deleted 24 months after receipt, or earlier on request, unless they lead to a contract that we must keep longer by law.
08 Security
Connections to the site are encrypted (HTTPS). Access to the database is restricted and protected by credentials. Confirmation and unsubscribe links are cryptographically signed, so they cannot be guessed or forged. No system is perfectly secure: if a confidentiality incident presents a risk of serious harm, we will notify you and the competent authorities as the law requires.
09 Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can:
- access the information we hold about you and receive a copy in a common format;
- have it corrected or completed;
- have it deleted;
- withdraw your consent at any time — every newsletter email contains a one-click unsubscribe link;
- object to or restrict some processing.
Write to info@ai-daily-news.org. We answer within 30 days and may ask you to confirm your identity first. Exercising your rights is free.
You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live, for example your national supervisory authority in the European Union or the California Privacy Protection Agency. We do not sell or share personal information within the meaning of California law.
10 Children
The site is intended for a general adult audience. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 14 (16 in the European Union). If you believe a child has subscribed, write to us and we will delete the data.
11 Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our practices change, and change the effective date above. If a change materially affects how we use subscribers' information, we will notify them by email before it applies.
