THE ESSENTIALS IN 30 SECONDS
- AGIBOT defines Worken as active robots × autonomous working hours × an output efficiency ratio measured against a task benchmark such as human work.
- The company also showed the AHA3 humanoid hardware platform, the GO-3 Preview foundation model, the WITA-Omni interaction model and the G2 Max industrial robot.
- Link-U OS 1.0, an operating system for embodied AI now in partner trials, is to be fully open-sourced by the end of 2026, according to AGIBOT.
Shanghai-based AGIBOT used its Innovation Day 2026, held in the city on October 29, to argue that the robotics industry is counting the wrong thing. Rather than tallying how many machines are built or shipped, the company wants to measure how much useful work they actually do on their own, and it introduced a metric called Worken to that end.
A metric for productive robot work
The name blends "work" and "token", and AGIBOT describes the unit as effective intelligent work hours. Its formula multiplies three factors: the number of robots actively carrying out tasks in real environments (not units sitting in inventory), the hours they work autonomously (not simply time switched on), and an output efficiency ratio that compares results with a reference benchmark for a given task, such as what a human worker achieves under established standards.
AGIBOT presents Worken as an evolving proposal to be refined with deployment data and task-specific benchmarks. The company has not published figures for any of the inputs, nor explained in detail how autonomous hours are counted or benchmarks chosen. It is also worth noting that the metric comes from a vendor of the robots it would measure.
New hardware, models and software
On the hardware side, AGIBOT showed AHA3, its third-generation humanoid architecture, with liquid-cooled joints rated IP67, Wi-Fi 6 and 5G support, and a new family of OmniHand 3 dexterous hands. The G2 Max, aimed at factories and logistics, has 21 degrees of freedom, can handle up to 40 kg with both arms, and offers a working height adjustable from 0.1 to 2.5 metres.
For software, the company previewed GO-3, a next-generation embodied foundation model built on what it calls a World Reasoning Action Model. AGIBOT says it ranks first on the RoboDojo and RoboColiseum benchmarks and posts the top overall score on RoboTwin; these results are company-reported and were not independently verified. It also introduced WITA-Omni, a model handling vision, speech, dialogue, facial expressions and movement, with full-duplex conversation and on-device deployment.
An operating system to be opened up
Link-U OS 1.0, which AGIBOT bills as an operating system built for embodied intelligence, is being trialled by selected partners. The company plans to make it fully open source by the end of 2026 and is donating the project to the OpenAtom Foundation. AGIBOT also cited deployments in tablet production at Longcheer, semiconductor packaging and the Guangzhou Metro, and said its 20,000th robot left the production line in September 2026.
