THE ESSENTIALS IN 30 SECONDS

  • ElevenMusic users can publish finished tracks to SoundCloud without downloading and re-uploading them; SoundCloud is the first outside platform to offer this.
  • Tracks sent through the integration carry a disclosure that names ElevenMusic as their source.
  • SoundCloud Artist Pro subscribers can claim three months of ElevenMusic Pro, a plan normally priced at $9.99 a month.

ElevenLabs and SoundCloud announced on November 5 that music created in ElevenMusic, the voice AI company's song generator, can now be published to SoundCloud in a single step. Until now, creators had to download their tracks from ElevenMusic and upload them to SoundCloud by hand.

How the integration works

According to reports from RouteNote and The Next Web, SoundCloud is the first platform outside ElevenLabs' own app to accept ElevenMusic songs directly. Tracks that arrive this way are labelled with ElevenMusic as their source, so listeners can see that they were made with AI. That label applies to songs sent through the integration, not to every AI-generated track already on SoundCloud.

The deal also comes with a subscription perk. New and existing SoundCloud Artist Pro members can claim three months of ElevenMusic Pro through SoundCloud's Member Benefits programme. The plan, normally $9.99 a month, allows up to 1,000 song generations a month, along with stem separation and a small number of custom styles or vocals. ElevenLabs says its music models have been used to generate more than 25 million tracks.

ElevenLabs released its first music model in 2025 and launched ElevenMusic as a standalone app in April 2026. The app builds songs from text prompts and lyrics, and can also remix tracks and split them into stems.

Rules and open questions

SoundCloud's existing policies still apply: the platform forbids misleading impersonation and the use of another artist's voice or identity without permission, and creators remain responsible for copyright. RouteNote notes that the arrangement concerns publishing AI recordings, not access to SoundCloud's catalogue for model training. The integration also does not push songs to Spotify, Apple Music or other services, which still require a distributor.

None of the reports explains whether tracks published this way can earn money under SoundCloud's artist payout programmes, and both companies have only said they may work together further.

A split market

SoundCloud has been signing several AI partnerships, including one with editing app Moises last month and earlier work with Google's Flow Music and Hook. Other services are taking a stricter line: Deezer is investing in AI detection and filtering, while Bandcamp restricts music that is wholly or largely AI-generated.
